WILL YOU HAVE TWO NORMAL HEIGHT CHAIR/S FOR EACH ARTIST? CHAIRS THAT ARE THE SAME HEIGHT AS AN OFFICE OR DINING ROOM CHAIR. FOR HENNA ART WE ALSO NEED A TALL CHAIR, LIKE A BAR STOOL. DO YOU WANT TO RENT THESE FROM US FOR $10 EACH?
WILL YOU HAVE A STURDY TABLE AT LEAST 6FT LONG FOR EACH PAINTER? PICNIC TABLES AT PARKS WILL NOT WORK. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO PULL THE TABLE RIGHT NEXT TO OUR CHAIRS. OR, DO YOU WANT TO RENT THESE FROM US FOR $25 EACH?
WILL THE AREA HAVE EXCELLENT LIGHTING? OR, DO YOU WANT TO RENT LIGHTING FROM US FOR $35? (You will need to supply electricity)
IF YOU HAVE OVER 30 PEOPLE TO PAINT, WE WILL NEED A LINE COORDINATOR, THIS INCREASES THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WE CAN PAINT DRASTICALLY. WILL YOU SUPPLY ONE? OR, WILL YOU BE ALRIGHT KNOWING THE LINE WILL MOVE SLOWER AND I CANNOT CREATE ART ON AS MANY PEOPLE? OR, DO YOU WANT TO RENT ONE FROM US FOR $20 AN HOUR?
HOW MANY ARTISTS DO YOU NEED? EACH FACE PAINTER CAN DO 12-15 FACES PER HOUR. A HENNA ARTIST CAN DO ABOUT 6 - 10 PER HOUR.

IF WE TELL YOUR GUESTS I AM ONLY TO DO THE CHILDREN, IT WILL KEEP YOUR COSTS IN CHECK. HOWEVER, WHEN ADULTS SEE MY WORK, THEY WILL START TO SIT DOWN IN FRONT OF ME. THIS IS GREAT FUN FOR A PARTY. I HAVE BEEN KEPT AT PRIVATE PARTIES FOR 5 HOURS! SHALL WE SAY CHILDREN FIRST AND IF THERE IS NO ONE WAITING I WILL DO ADULTS? OR, DO YOU WANT TO CONSIDER HIRING ME FOR A LONGER TIME?

MAKING A WAITING LIST: I use my own system of numbering for a waiting list.
DJs and BANDS: Painters must be in a separtate room from the band and noise.
PROBLEM PARENTS: Very **rarely** I will have a parent, or child, who is a problem. For instance, a parent who insists their child should go before the other children. Or, a child who wants to play with my supplies (I have over $2000 invested in my materials, and I sanitize everything between each person. So, I do not want anything touched. Ninety-nine percent of the time, I handle these situations myself. But, if I feel I must be too "firm," I will say to the parent, or child, "Please go ask the people who have hired me. They will let you know how they want this handled."
PAINTING AT PUBLIC PARKS: Very often at parks, children not with your party will see you have fun things going on, at ask me to paint them, play in your jumper and eat your cake! This can be a real problem in making the wait time very long for your guests to get painted. I have no way of knowing who belongs with your group. I have had parents of these stray children try to bully me into painting them. Please assign one of your guests to be my line monitor.
HENNA: henna is dye. Once I apply it, it needs an hour to dry. If you brush up against something, it takes a great deal of work to remove the stain. After that flakes will fall off that can stain upholstery, sheets, clothes, etc. Therefore, it is not a good idea for children under 13 and should only be done with the written permission of parents.

AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS:
I hope you will pay the balance in cash on the day of the event. But, I do need your credit card information as a guarantee of this event.Just call, or email me your credit card information for the $50 deposit, mail a check to the address at the top of this page with this contract, or go to:
PHOTO CONSENT By having your Guests' face painted and photographed, permission is thereby granted to use images for my portfolio, marketing materials such as print, website or other publications. No names are ever revealed. If for any reason your guest, or you, does not agree, please let me know, and their privacy will be respected.
RELEASE: You must gain permission from the parents of minors to allow me to paint their children. In addition to your gaining their permission verbally, and putting a notice in the party invitation. It is vital you make parents aware they are allowing me to paint their children at their own risk. I use FDA approved face painting products which are safe for the skin. But anyone can have an allergic type of reaction, or other accidents can happen. Gems are glued to the skin with a latex eyelash adhesive. Lilly Walters is NOT responsible for any injuries, negligence, allergic reactions, or incidences caused by unruly behavior by guests during a party.Client acknowledges that there are risks inherent with live entertainment. These include, but are not limited to, dangers from tripping over equipment, dangers from paint and paint brushes. Client assumes the liability for all such risks and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Lilly Walters Schermerhorn and against any and all accidents, claims, judgments, costs or liability for damage, injury to any person or property during the Event including time of set up and take down, by guests and staff. Liability of Lilly Walters Schermerhorn shall not exceed the total value of this agreement
This will constitute your agreement to all the terms in this agreement. Your credit card will show a charge to Walters Schermerhorn.
